day 1: kilimanjaro - arusha
Arrive Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha National Airport
Meet and transfer to hotel/hostel located in Arusha for dinner and overnight.
day 2: arusha - serengeti national park
From Arusha we drive all the way to the fabled Serengeti National Park via Ngorongoro Conservation Area and settle into your remote and authentic camp. Then, set out on the boundless Serengeti, one of the oldest and least changed ecosystems on earth, where the circle of life plays out every day, as it has for eons. It is home to one of the world’s largest concentrations of wildlife, with lions, hyenas and leopards all endemic. The region also hosts the spectacular Great Migration, when a flurry of wildebeests and zebras arrive in search of grass and water. It is an epic spectacle you may witness, depending on your choice of departure. This evening, as the equatorial sun hangs low over the plains, take a moment to sip a cocktail and reflect on the majesty of Africa during a relaxing Scenic Sundowner experience, dinner and overnight at the Camp in Serengeti.
day 3: serengeti national park
A whole day full of game drives provide the perfect opportunity to get up close to Africa’s incredible animals. During your stay in the Serengeti, you are likely to spot a great variety of wildlife including cheetah, bearded wildebeest, bat eared fox, black rhino, Maasai giraffe, lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard and zebra. Dinner and camp-fire with the stars and sounds of the African night. Overnight again at our beautiful Camp.
day 4: serengeti - ngorongoro crater - karatu
After breakfast, we drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, we will descend into the Crater with our picnic lunch, through the early morning mists and 2,000 feet into the crater, what is commonly referred to as the World’s largest natural wildlife arena. Ngorongoro Crater is the World’s largest intact volcanic caldera. Due to its size and diversity, the crater floor is comprised of several distinct areas, ranging from forest, swamps, lakes and springs, to open grassland and some sandy dunes. A truly unique wildlife experience. After lunch we ascend the crater and transfer to our campsite in Mto wa mmbu.
day 5: karatu - lake manyara - kilimanjaro
After breakfast you depart for Lake Manyara National Park with en-route views. Nestling at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, A beautiful park, Lake Manyara contains a diverse range of habitats and topographical features ranging from the rift wall, ground water forest, acacia woodlands and open grasslands to the shores of Lake Manyara and the lake itself. Have a morning game viewing in the park searching for the diverse flora and fauna of the park. There are some 350 different bird species in the park. The park provides sanctuary to a variety of animals such as the gazelle, impala, buffalo, wildebeest, hyena, baboon, giraffe, hippo and the famous tree-climbing lions that are unique to the Lake. The park is generally recognized for its incredible beauty. Late in the afternoon we drive to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight connection or drop off at Arusha Airport and extend your Tanzania holiday time to Zanzibar.
